I had been wanting to plan a trip to Utah to see the grandparents as soon as we left Florida, but it turned out I just needed a good excuse to pull the trigger. When we found out Jared was getting married mid-April, it was perfect! It only would have been more perfect if he had gotten married the week before, so we could have flown there before Cora's birthday so I wouldn't have to pay for a seat. But being so big and pregnant it worked out.
We left the morning of Brandon's birthday. Sorry Brandon, happy birthday we're ditching you!
It was my first time in the Fresno airport. I was pretty surprised at the giant fake Sequoias right in the entryway.
We landed just in time for the pre-wedding dinner. Luckily I had packed other foods because she wasn't interested in the nice dinner they had.
We went to BYU campus to get some fingerprinting done for my teaching license, and showed Cora the sights along the way.
Thank goodness we had Bubba there to watch Cora! That was my biggest issue with flying out there, I needed someone to watch her. (Also, poor Austin with his crutches.)
The Payson temple was STUNNING. I was blown away by the intricate stained glass and artwork. I want to go back with Brandon.
It was fun to hang out with Dallin, Krystel, Bethany, and Austin for a bit too.
I'm so glad we got to meet Lauren and Lincoln's little kids too! Linc and Cora are only 3 months apart.
Just as they were starting to take family pictures, it started to rain. Then it started to rain harder and harder until we just HAD to run out of there. I didn't even know where the other people went, but Bethany grabbed Cora and she and Krystel ran with us back to our car. Thank goodness for Bethany, because otherwise we would have gotten so much more wet because heels+belly+2 year old does not equal being fast.
It was freezing cold and whipping rain at us, and Cora got scared and cried for a minute. But then we got in the car to warm up and she was fine.
Poor girl got tuckered out.
Don't mind her with her shoes!
The reception was at a country club and it was beautiful! Plus they had a hot dog bar and a dessert bar so Cora was in heaven.
We were about to leave when the music started and Cora was in heaven. So we ended up staying the whole rest of the time... she danced the night away!
What a good sport.
And that was just ONE day of our trip!
