Cora's first birthday party

I still can't believe we have a 1 year old. That was such a great day.
So in the Barry podiatry program, the seniors were required to come back for one last semester before graduation. Cora's birthday fell in the few months where nearly all of our friends from our time at Barry would be together. Only one was missing, because she had moved away the week prior. It was perfect! (Except no Kendra)
Obviously, we had to have an Elmo themed party. Cora is obsessed with Elmo, so why not!

 Winn-Dixie gave a free smash cake for your first birthday party if you signed up for their rewards program. That made things so much easier!

Cora was a little bit confused about it.

 So I tried to smash her hand in it.

 Grandma Putnam and Aunt Linda were there too (on their way to a cruise)!

 We love our birthday girl.

 This one cracks me up. Typical of the only child of doting parents.

I'm the queen!

The one fun thing we did (besides get cupcakes and Costco pizza for everyone!) was buy a pinata. We had wanted to buy an Elmo one, but they were upwards of $30 so THAT wasn't happening.

It was so fun to have everyone we love from our time in Miami in one room one last time! Cora is such a lucky girl to have so many people who love her. She won't ever remember this party, but we will!
